About Me

Hi, well as you may have guessed, my name is Rob, well it is in fact Robert, but only my parents call me that, and only when they have something to shout about. I’m a late twenty-something, gay guy living in Manchester City Centre. I love men, chocolate and Family Guy. What else does a guy need?

OK, a bit more serious, I’m just your simple, average, down to earth, professional, gay man with a few things to say, trying to find my place among this little island of Britain.  I have a lot of things to say about love, life and things in general but enjoy writing mostly about my daily life, my friends, family, travels and a slight dash of geekyness.

I’d like to think if I had time to write every day I would, but unfortunately I usually don’t have that kind of time.  This site will serve as an informational site about my life with details, photos, links and my blog.  If you have any questions you cannot find in either my blog or the website, please email me at website@robreid.co.uk and I will be more then happy to get back to you as soon as possible.

The Quick & Dirty Info
I grew up in a small town called Shifnal in rural Shropshire and I lived there for twenty years or so. The nearest place people have heard of is Telford, or Wolverhampton. Home had everything you needed apart from providing a wide selection of social amenities, or technological industries, hence why I decided to get away. Most of my family still live in that area to this day. I am the youngest of three, I have two elder sisters who both have their own families. I moved to Manchester in 2000 after University, a city where I made my first real friend who I could be myself with without any secrets. Between then and now, I have travelled around a tiny bit with my work as a Documentum Consultant, living in London and Sweden for a year in each. But as I said earlier, I am back in Manchester now though, and intend to stay here for a while, make some more friends, and make the most of what the city has to offer.
