Things About Me X 100
- Everyone called me Robert until some friends at school began using Rob and the name stuck. Most of my immediate family still calls me Robert.
- I originally was going to be called Andrew, but my cousin was called that too, so it was made my second name.
- My teenage years were fairly misunderstood.
- But I am now a stronger person.
- The first family member to fully accept my sexuality was my youngest sister.
- I believe I experience emotions with more depth than most people.
- I tend to wear many different faces and moods, but I don’t consider any of them fake. There are many shades of Robert from Mr Sarcastic to Mr Empathic.
- I used to want to be a pilot. Maybe that explains my love of flying.
- I have a good relationship with my parents, and hope I have the same relationship with any children I ever have of my own.
- As a child I loved to read the Three Little Pigs.
- At school I never got a detention.
- I really want a dog, a Golden Retriever; he will probably be named Bertie Von Worcester.
- My astrological sign is Pisces. I am exactly what it describes me as.
- I have always typed ‘form’ rather than ‘from’. I’m not sure why, it must be down to the pseudo-touch typing that I have developed.
- Sometimes I have a poor memory. I remember things in reverse. The past is clear to me, but yesterday is fuzzy.
- I remember emotions better than details.
- I have dreams every night, and remember at least parts of them most of the time.
- I want a tattoo on my arm, and it will look a bit like this.
- I have a mark on the side of my face, it looks dark, and the doctor doesn’t know what it is.

- Nobody really knows me. But one or two come very close.
- I believe in total monogamy.
- I am jealous, possessive, and can be demanding.
- I don’t like it when people keep secrets from me.
- I am good at listening to people’s problems.
- I don’t have a political affiliation, though I lean towards the Liberal Democrats. But I don’t vote because I lack any confidence in any party or leader at the moment.
- The first car I had was a Mark 4 Ford Escort, it was written off by a Royal Mail lorry going into the back of it.
- There is always music playing in the car when I’m driving.
- I have an excellent sense of direction, distance, and time.
- I don’t believe in war unless it is really justified. I dont beleive there is any such war that is justified right now.
- I am determined and ambitious.
- I am agnostic, I can’t except or deny the existence of God, but I know I don’t like organised religion.
- I grew up in Shropshire. It was quite a sleepy place, but it has some wonderful areas of beauty.
- I moved to Manchester for a chance to live a more cosmopolitan lifestyle.
- If I were rich, I think I’d have a second home in another country. I don’t know which one yet though.

- I am part Spanish, when I am tanned that part looks substantially bigger.
- I have been an IT Consultant for eight years now.
- My first job was working in a shop as a sales assistant.
- I hated it at the time, but now understand the importance of a hard earned wage and respecting seniors.

- I had a fascination with briefcases, until I finally got one and realised they weren’t all that exciting.

- I relax by watching Family Guy, The Simpsons and American Dad.
- My favourite TV series of all time was the X-Files, though I became disappointed in its last two seasons.
- I used to be totally against blogging.
- Broadcasting my innermost feelings to the world was an unbearable thought.
- Blogging is now a daily pleasure.
- I have never felt so honest and free.
- I was anti-social a lot when I was a teenager. I often felt I lack confidence which fed this perfectly.
- I was also a bit of a geek, and I think I still am a bit now.
- I am a better person now. I am stronger and confident. But sometimes I can allow people to bring me down.

- I’ve lost touch with everyone I grew up with at school.

- Yet I’m a huge procrastinator.

- I am obsessive about having clean hands.
- I HAVE to wash my hands right before I eat, and wipe down my keyboard and mouse often.
- Many people do not wash their hands after going to the toilet. This disturbs me.
- I do not bite my nails or pick at my cuticles. The sound of someone chomping on their nails irritates me.
- My favourite stores are Selfridges, Game, Waterstones, HMV and Body Shop.
- My favourite e-commerce site is Amazon.
- I am a PC addict. I love buying a new PC whenever I can afford it.
- I never thought I’d be a Mac person, but I’m getting there.
- There are times when I’m so engrossed in an activity that eating or sleeping are chores. The activity often involves computers.
- My web browser of choice is Mozilla Firefox.
- I love a nice cup of Earl Grey tea whenever I fancy a hot drink.
- I don’t like alcohol as much as I used to. It makes me fat.
- I have a pet peeve about people using “your” instead of “you’re”.
- I don’t smoke, and I’ve never used drugs.
- I prefer the toilet paper to roll off the top.
- I leave both the toilet seat and the cover down.
- I am not obsessed with the toilet.
- I like to make people laugh.
- I sleep silently.
- I have full use of both hands (Ambidextrous).
- I am actually left handed though.
- I find excessive use of exclamation marks annoying.
- When I’m tasked with something repetitive or monotonous I find the most efficient way to complete it, often testing different strategies to speed up the process.
- I’m not mentioning things I’ve never done in this list, because until I’m dead, I still might do them.
- I’m a perfectionist. Really, that should be at the top of this list.
